Privacy policy
Short version: we collect what you type into a form, we do not sell it, and we will tell you before passing it to anyone.
What we collect
If you submit the form on get solar options, we receive the name, email address, zip code, street address, phone number and any message you enter.
The message is optional; the rest is required. The shorter form on guide pages asks for the same details, plus what you need and your timeline. There is no account to create.
Details about the visit: every form submission also includes the page it was sent from, the first page you landed on, the referral source (the referring site or campaign tags in the link) and basic browser and device details (browser, operating system, device type, screen size, language and time zone).
No third-party trackers or fingerprinting are used for this.
If you run a solar business and apply on the professional application, we also receive the business and contact details that form asks for, including licensing and insurance information.
The address box offers suggestions as you type. Those come from Photon, a public address-lookup service run by komoot, and producing them means what you have typed so far is sent to komoot, as you type, before you submit, and whether or not you ever submit.
If you would rather that did not happen, type the address in full without picking a suggestion; the suggestions are only a convenience.
We use a web analytics service to understand which parts of the page people read.
It records page views and interactions in aggregate. We also use Microsoft Clarity, which records how the page is used — clicks, scrolling and mouse movement — and replays those sessions to us. Form fields are masked, so what you type is not captured.
Who processes it
Form submissions are delivered to our email inbox by FormSubmit, and a backup copy is stored in a Cloudflare database by this site’s own server code. Address suggestions in the form come from Photon, run by komoot, which receives what you type into the address box in order to return matches.
The site is served as static files from Cloudflare, which processes standard request logs, including IP addresses, for security and delivery purposes.
What we do with it
We use your details to reply to you and to tell you when installer matching opens in your area. HyreSolar expects to earn revenue in future by connecting homeowners with solar professionals.
We will not pass your details to a solar company without telling you first and getting your agreement. We do not sell personal information.
How long we keep it
Inquiries stay in our inbox until they are no longer useful to answer. Ask us to delete yours and we will, and we will confirm when it is done.
Your choices
To see what we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted, contact us using the details below. Depending on where you live you may have additional rights under laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act; we apply the same handling to everyone regardless.
To make a request, email hello@hyresolar.com, call (866) 582-8523, or write to HyreSolar, 6975 Union Park Avenue, Midvale, UT 84047, United States.
Calls and texts (TCPA)
The inquiry forms ask for a phone number and, beside it, have an optional consent box. Giving a number is not consent to be called: leaving the box unticked means we will not call or text you about it.
Ticking that box is express written consent under the Telephone Consumer Protection Act. It means HyreSolar may call and text the number you gave, including with an autodialer, an artificial or prerecorded voice, and SMS, about your inquiry.
It is not a condition of using this site or of anything we provide, and we do not pass the number to anyone else on the strength of it.
You can withdraw it whenever you like: reply STOP to any text, call (866) 582-8523 , or write to HyreSolar, 6975 Union Park Avenue, Midvale, UT 84047, United States.
Standard message and data rates from your carrier may apply. We keep a record of when consent was given and when it was withdrawn, because we have to be able to show which one applies.
Children
This site is intended for homeowners and is not directed at children under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, the date at the top of the page changes and the previous version is superseded from that date.
