Contribute expert input

We do not take guest posts. We do want short, attributed input from people who work in solar, so the guidance here reflects what happens on real roofs and in real contracts.

Who are we looking for?

  • Installers and electricians. Licensed in the state you work in; NABCEP certification is useful, not required.
  • Engineers and inspectors. Structural, electrical, interconnection or permitting experience.
  • Tax and finance professionals. On credits, loans, leases and PPAs, in your own name and credential.
  • Researchers. People who work with utility, tariff or adoption data and can point to the source.

What should I send?

  1. Your name, role and organization, as you want them to appear, and a licence or certification number we can look up if you hold one.
  2. The page or topic your input is about.
  3. The input itself, in under 150 words: what you see in practice, or what a page gets wrong.
  4. A source for any figure you give.

Email it to hello@hyresolar.com with “Expert input” in the subject.

What happens next?

A person reads every submission. If we use your input, we check your credential against the public register where one exists, confirm the wording with you before it is published, and attribute it to you by name.

We may edit for length, never for meaning. If a figure cannot be sourced, it is not published. The editorial policy applies to everything we quote.

What will we not publish?

  • Articles. Guest posts, sponsored posts and partner-written pages.
  • Links for sale. Paid, traded or reciprocal links.
  • Promotion. Quotes that pitch a company, product or price.
  • Anonymous claims. Input we cannot attribute to a named, qualified person.

Questions people ask

Does HyreSolar accept guest posts or sponsored articles?
No. HyreSolar does not publish guest posts, sponsored articles or partner-written content, and does not sell or trade links. What we do take is short, attributed expert input for pages we are researching.
Will I be paid for a quote?
No. Quotes are not paid for and cannot be paid to be included.
Can I link to my company?
A quoted expert is named with their role and organization. Whether a link is added is an editorial decision, and a quote is never conditional on one.
